Stacey was born in Santa Monica, CA, to Marvin and Dorothy Berger. She was an only child raised in Mar Vista and graduated from Venice HS in June 1971. She was in Job's Daughters, Bethel #187 from age 12-20. After high school she attended Santa Monica College and Southland College becoming a dental assistant.
In Dec. 2014 Stacey was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) and started attending several support groups. Retirement was August 2016 due to worsening health. She and Claude celebrated her retirement in November with a cruise to the Caribbean. The disease had not yet severely limited her activities and she thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. Her greatest joys in life were being there for her children.
