| About Me | Attended Purdue and iU undergrad and Northwestern Graduate school. I taught second grade for 5 years before getting married. I was a stay-at-home mom and raised two amazing children- Ali and Shayn. I went back to teaching part-time when my youngest was 10 and was nominated for two Golden Apple Awards. In addition to second grade, I have taught gifted math and reading, pre-school, developed curriculum, and am presently employed by Erikson Institute and the University of Illinois, Chicago. I am part of a 5 year grant with Chicago Public Schools and am coaching 10 teachers in two schools.
