| About Me | Director for the Defense Imagery Management Operations Center (DIMOC), Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, Pa. DIMOC is an Office of the Secretary Defense for Public Affairs field activity under the direction of the Defense Media Activity (DMA) and the Defense Visual Information Directorate (DVI), Alexandria Va. Mr. Rotell directs the design, development and implementation for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Information Technology systems. These systems provide real-time customer data and information of value to DIMOC’s four geographically separated activities in order to ensure successful alignment with customer requirements and expectations on an enterprise-wide basis. In addition, He leads the DIMOC CRM program for the development of policies, procedures, programs and technical guidance relating to all aspects of Commercial Financial Accounts, customer order process, satisfaction and feedback for the Center. Mr. Rotell is also responsible for the oversight and management of the strategic development and growth of DIMOC order fulfillment functions. This includes overseeing all aspects of DIMOC program elements, such as information technology, optical disc replication, customized media packaging, distribution, and order fulfillment services for training and informational products containing multimedia programs. These products support combat training readiness, operations, and internal information missions for the U.S. Armed Forces. Mr. Rotell has spearheaded key strategic initiatives to strengthen DIMOC’s supply chain through acquisitions such as “NetDisc”, an IT program that works in conjunction with the Defense Audio Visual Information System and the Defense Technology Instructional Information System’s (DAVIS/DITIS) web catalog for on-demand Optical Disc duplication and order fulfillment. He has more than 28 years’ experience in the Visual Information community and has served on various committees and organizations including the OSD VI Production Working Group, which is chaired by the Defense VI Directorate; the Government Information Preservation Group (GIPG), sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology; the DVD Association (DVDA), the world's largest and most influential group of interactive digital media developers; and the International Recording Media Association (IRMA), a worldwide trade association encompassing organizations involved in every facet of recording media. Mr. Rotell supervises 15 National Security Personnel System, General Schedule and contractor employees and directs an annual budget of nearly $2M.
