Kind of blew me away when I heard of Roy’s passing. Roy lived 2 doors down from me in Malverne. I moved to the area in my 11th grade, (Roy’s 10th) was kind of lost for a while. Met a lot of Roy’s friends, and then I fell into my own group. I remember we all played softball together for years. We teased each other about girlfriends, maybe because I married one from his grade (Gig). He was one of the good guys. RIP Roy.

Roy was one of my best friends at North High, growing up together in Malverne during the mid 1960's. I remember sleeping in his dorm room the night before he was to begin dental school...while I had my first job interview with Arthur Young the next day. Though we went in separate directions afterwards, we still held a strong bond even when we only saw each other at our high school reunions and occasionally for dinner. I am both shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. Rest in peace, my friend, where I'm sure you will still make everyone around you smile.
