Class of 1966
Army, 20+ Years
Commissioned 1970-2LT Infantry-served in RVN as PLT LDR, Branch Transfer to Armor. Reigned commissioned in 1975 as CPT. Returned to Army as Chaplain in 1987, Retired in 2006 as LTC. Served at Ft Benning, Ft Hood, Ft Drum, Germany, Desert Storm, Ft Monmouth, Ft Bless, Ft Leavenworth, Ft Carson.

Commissioned 2nd Lt. upon graduation from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor’s in Chemistry. Initial duty was with the 15th Air Force Reconnaissance Technical Squadron, March AFB, Riverside, California. Between 12/1965 & 6/1967, duties include Officer in Charge of Photolithography, producing air target navigational maps for air crews. Served 3 temporary duties (TDYs) to Ton Son Nhut AFB in support of the 12th & 16th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadrons to outfit the newly commissioned RF-4C Phantoms for aerial reconnaissance of North Vietnam.
In July 1967, was “Shanghaied” by SAC (Strategic Air Command) to serve as a Minuteman Missile Launch Officer. Served as a Combat Missile Crew Commander until leaving the AF.

Served 13 months in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
