After graduating Valley, I went onto study at the University of Louisville. I graduated with a Bachelors Science degree in Chemistry. And as s an Air Force Reserve Officer Training cadet, upon graduation, I was also commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force. My service began February 1965 as the Officer-in-Charge of the Photo Lithographic Section for the 15th Air Force Reconnaissance Technical Squadron. We crafted the air target charts for Vietnam operations. My duty stations were March Air Force Base, CA and Ton Son Nhut Air Force Base, Vietnam. In June 1967, I was trained as a Minuteman ICBM Launch Officer at Vandenberg AFB, CA. Upon graduation, I was assigned to 10th Strategic Missile Squadron at Malmstrom AFB in Montana. I served there until December 1969 attaining the rank of Major. After my service, I enrolled at the University of Tennessee where I studied and received a Masters Degree in Urban & Regional Planning. After graduation, I took a position with the Brevard County Commission in Florida as a Senior Planner. My tenure with Brevard County eventually took me to the Director of Growth Management, and thereafter, as Assistant County Manager. In 1994, I transferred to the Brevard County Property Appraiser’s Office as a Special Projects Director, overseeing the development of a Geographic Information System. I retired from Brevard County in 2004. I now live in Ocala, Florida, and enjoying my retirement. God bless all.
