| About | Debbie Jean Murrietta December 20, 1954 - October 6, 2021 Debbie Jean Murrietta, 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 6, 2021. Debbie wasborn to the late Bill and Nancy Barrows on December 20, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Debbie was an active member at New Life Church in Virginia Beach. Before falling ill, Debbiewas preparing to go on a mission trip to Germany to spread the word of the Lord and shareGod’s love. It was her mission to introduce Jesus and his love to everyone. Debbie loved herfamily with all her heart and was loved deeply in return. Debbie’s legacy of love extended to fivegrandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many more family members, as well as dear friendswhom she adopted as her own. She will be missed. Other than her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by her loving husband Sonny Murriettawho passed away in 2009. Left to cherish her loving memory are her children, Roy Wagner , April Payne, Art Murrietta;step-daughter, Dawn Galor; grandchildren, Shianne Wagner, Daniel Wagner, Mercedes Wagner,Michael Wagner and Mayeli Wagner; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Freyah; brother, DanBarrows & wife Jo; sister, Dawn Barrows; many more extended family members and friends |

Debbie and I dissected a frog together in 10th grade science class. Debbie was one of my first friends from Taft. She be was sweet and kind. I pray that her life was wonderful, she deserved to be blessed. I am so grateful to have met her. Donella Maez Irby - class of ‘72
