Janet married Michael Collins in 1972 and together they had 3 beautiful daughters. At the age of 55 she was diagnosed with multiple system atrophy, much like ALS. Though heartbroken at this terminal diagnosis, she and Mike built their dream house on the Conejos River near Alamosa Colorado. She was eventually unable to live at home and enjoy the birds and fish that she so loved. She passed away always hoping a cure would be found. It was a hard and sad battle but she accepted it with courage even when she could no longer speak or eat on her own. She will be so missed by her children and the grandchildren she will never know.
