| About Me | Right after school and during my first two college summers, I participated in a youth ministry mission school of sorts and visited many youth ministries across the country as well as visited a few countries. I got married in 1993 to John who already had a young daughter at the time and lived on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation (where he was the Rector) for 12 years and ministered to the youth living there while also being a Family Development Manager for the Early Head Start program. After my 5 year stint with Head Start, I became a youth minister full time with a program called Young Life that partners with our church. I went through one of the most gut wrenching experiences of my life so far when my best friend and classmate, Lynn Weis was viciously murdered and then later went to Chicago for 2 weeks to be with her family for her murderer's trial. I was ordained a Deacon with the Episcopal Church in 2003 and moved to Bismarck in 2005 commuting back and forth from Fort Yates, Cannon Ball and Selfridge still working with the kids I have grown to love. I went back to school to get my Masters in Counseling from UMary and worked as an LPC and Spiritual Director for Charles Hall Youth Services for 4 years.
