Leake, a professional baseball player, had an illustrious career as a Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher, playing for several well-known teams such as the Cincinnati Reds, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, Seattle Mariners, and Arizona Diamondbacks.

Leake made his MLB debut on April 11, 2010, playing for the Cincinnati Reds. Having an impressive win-loss record of 105-98, an earned run average (ERA) of 4.05, and over 1,231 strikeouts, he proved himself as a prominent figure in the sport. Leake earned a Gold Glove Award in 2019, acknowledging his exceptional performance as a fielder.

He followed up with another stellar year as a senior, batting .342 with eight home runs while attaining an 11-1 win-loss record with a 1.87 ERA. These performances helped him win the Avocado League Pitcher of the Year award twice. Leake's prowess on the field also earned him two All-Avocado League honorees and made him a team MVP in his sophomore year.
