Graduation Year Class of 1970
Date of Passing Dec 10, 2015
About Lori Denise Brown passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at her home in Lewiston, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her loving husband, Phil, her daughter, Sara, and a good friend were by her side. Lori was 63.

Lori was born Oct. 8, 1952, to Wayne and Margaret Wilhelm in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended Urbandale High School and graduated in 1970. Lori also attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Lori married Louis Tigges in 1971, and together they had four children. They divorced in 2008.

She worked as a pharmacist technician for many years at Lake City, Iowa. On July 2, 2010, Lori came to Idaho to see her friends of many years, Doug and Gwen Wormell. While visiting, she met and fell in love with Phil Brown and a new journey began for both Lori and Phil. They married Dec. 5, 2011, in Laughlin, Nev. They found the love of their lives.

She and Phil shared the love of the outdoors, traveling and spending time at the cabin with their many friends there. They also enjoyed restoring vintage travel trailers. Lori had an amazing ability to make them look very authentic. Lori and Phil made trips back to Iowa to see her children and grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents.

Her husband, Phil Brown of Lewiston, survives at their home. She is also survived by her four children, Jenny (Joe) Riesselman, Sara (Doug) Smith, Josh (Lisa) Tigges, Joel (Jesse) Tigges, all of Iowa. Lori had nine grandchildren, all of whom she loved so very much. Lori's sisters, Sharon Wilhelm, Kelley Baker and Cindy Mayer, all of Iowa, also survive her. In addition, she is survived by her stepchildren, Travis (Carrie) Brown, Trent (Callie) Brown and Corey and Kristen Brown; and seven grandchildren. She loved her family and extended family. She also leaves behind many dear friends from Iowa and Idaho. Lori touched so many lives with her kindness, laughter and so much love. We are so truly blessed to have this wonderful woman become a large part of our lives.

At Lori's request, no services are planned at this time. A celebration of life will be held in the spring or summer. Phil asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance University of Washington and/or Elite Home Health Hospice Care of Clarkston.
