About	Michael E. Runyon, 54, of Valrico, FL passed away September 17, 2007. Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Mike had resided in the Valrico area since 1990. Mike was a National Merit scholar, graduated with honors from the University of Iowa (1974), and received his Juris Doctorate with high honors from Drake University (1977). He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Order of the Coif. He practiced law privately in Iowa 1977-1982 and in Washington, D.C., 1982-1990 as a partner in the firm of Haggerty & Donahue. He served the Department of Justice with distinction as an assistant U.S. attorney, middle district of Florida, criminal division, for the last 16 years. All who had the pleasure of knowing Mike will miss his hearty laugh and enthusiasm for life. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Margaret Runyon, and is survived by his wife of 31 years, Tamra Phipps; brother, Dr. Bruce A. Runyon; sister, Ann Martin; other family members and many friends. Funeral services will take place at 8 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2007, at Stowers Brandon Chapel. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Stowers-Brandon
