About Me	For one who liked the pool tables more than the classroom, I've done OK having been on pension from the Department of State (DOS) since 1991. With over 4 years USAF, 27 active DOS, and another 14 part time, I received an education through my work and the hundreds of friends I've make in about 40 countries. Having be a Communications Specialist in the Foreign Service with the goal of desktop to desktop communications, I feel like my contacting my accumulated friend from home verifies that the goals of the DOS have been achieved. It's hard to believe that we can sit at home with our computer and communicate through emails, Instant Messenger using both voice and webcam; and the average bear doesn't know how the heck all those little ditties go through various telephone lines, VHF, UHF, or satelite, and all get to a pr...(read more)
