Gentle soul, forever young. DWM . Creative, adventurous, humorous, articulate, sympathetic, grounded, healer, listener, communicator. Although heavily R&B rooted ,Sound Gems Records (my company) as always will continue to define new forms , always delving deep into the soul , staying focused on its’ original musical mission, "innovation"... "expose intuitive, innovative and influential artists via outlets all over the world concentrating more on music and less on pretense..groove oriented with R&B and funk influenced backbeats properly chilled. . I often feel like it's so rare that someone can make magic in music these days. What is left to do when it sometimes seems like it's all been done before? I will continue to write whenever I get inspired even aware my stuff will mostly be reminiscent of a time and place you`ve been before, but hopefully A new Sound emerging from the old, just as it always has been. ... Sometimes the songs are beautiful imagery. ["Soundpedia"] "Be Thankful For What You`ve Got" by William Devaughn Produced by Frank Fioravanti and John Davis Wanting to go for a nasty groove. A smooth finespun arrangement was written, eventually booking time to record at the famous Sigma Sound Studio in Philadelphia Remarkably, the session also featured members of the famed Philly Sound - guitarist Norman Harris, drummer Earl Young, bassist Ron Baker, and vibist Vince Montana - these top musicians were secured by Allan Felder, who also developed the separate adlib back -up chorus with his Sister`s vocal choir. .[3]Frank Fioravanti, could have released the record on the company`s own label now named Sound Gems but it was just starting out and instead secured its release on the Roxbury Records record label..>[4] The record sold nearly two million copies on its release in spring 1974, reaching #1 on the U.S. R&B charts and #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, selling a million copies... eventually 2 million. In 1980 Fioravanti and Devaughn hooked up again a on an album titled "Figures Can`t Calculate" and again soon after Devaughn recorded another Fioravanti tune "Creme de Creme " released in Europe on the "Red Bus" label.
