Mike Walker

Class of 1971

I taught English at UDHS from ‘67 to ‘71. I had never attended a public school, so I decided to imitate someone who knew what they were doing. It took about a month to discover that no one (except maybe Bill Ritter knew what he/she was doing. That scared me at first, but then I realized that meant that I didn’t have to learn what they were doing. I just had to do what made sense.

It was a scary, great adventure- the best of my life!
