About Me	I was raised in Los Angeles, graduating from University High School and UCLA. I went on to teach elementary school for eighteen years in the L.A. Unified School District. A 40-year Beverly Hills resident, I am a dynamic community leader who has devoted much of my public life to community service. I served as Vice Chair and Chair on the Architectural Commission for seven years. In 2003, I was appointed to the Beverly Hills Planning Commission, where I developed an in depth knowledge of land use, infrastructure and development issues. After four years on the Planning Commission, I ran for City Council in 2007 to have a more direct impact on critical infrastructure and development issues from a residential point of view. I am seeking a second term on the City Council to complete the important work I have begun in her first term on ethics reform, infrastructure improvements, and improved City services, including education and public safety. I have served as a board member of the Friends of Greystone and the National Council of Jewish Women and am currently 1st Vice President of Friends of Greystone. My husband Jim, a lifelong Beverly Hills resident, and I have been married for 45 years. We have two sons, Kevin & David.
