Dorthea B. Nevils
Class of 1984
Dorthea taught at UCHS for 31 years and at one time served as an assistant principal at the high school until she retired on May 30, 2019. Several weeks before her retirement, she was honored for her dedicated years of service at a district-wide retirement reception.
On September 29, 2018, Dorthea and seven other educators in the St. Louis metropolitan area were honored at the Excellence in Education gala sponsored by the St. Louis American foundation.
Dorthea’s plans for retirement are to complete her doctoral dissertation, spend more time with her family, travel, and work on music projects and music ministry, and also complete home improvement and home decoration projects.
