About Me	Served with Fighter Squadron VF-194, Naval Air Station Miramar, San Diego. Worked on flight deck as Plane Captain, USS Bon Homme Richard, CVA-31 1965-66 & USS Ticonderoga, CVA-14 1966-67 off coast of Vietnam. Three two week active duty periods at Pentagon, one aboard the USS Constitution and one aboard the USS Nassau participating in Ocean Venture 90 off the East coast. Parkland Jr. College (AA) & studied Architecture at U of I (3 years), Worked with consulting engineer from 1971 - 1985. Department Manager for Manufacturing 1985 - 2011. Last employment as Department Manager with Frasca International, mfgr of Flight Simulators (26 Years). Collector of US Military memorabilia covering 1812 to current (approx 8 - 10K items). Use collection as educational tool for organizations and schools (local grade schools and U of I NROTC). Active in various military and hereditary organizations including Life member Sons of the American Revolution (Past President of Piankeshaw Chapter), General Society of the War of 1812, Life member Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Life member American Legion (current Adjutant at Sidney Post 433) Also am a Master Mason, 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason, Sojourners Hero's of 76, & York Rite Mason. In 2013 was recognized as the Mason of the Year for Masonic Lodge 240 in Champaign On the 17th of May 2021, Susan and I were invited to the Department of Illinois State Convention as a Distinguisher Quests where I received The American Legion Department of Illinois Legionnaire of the Year Award. The Village of Sidney asked me to be the Grand Marshall for the Sidney Fun Daze parade. Since 2019, I have been the Adjutant for the Sidney American Legion Post 433 and have put on loan to the Post a large portion of my personal collection of US military, "The American Veterans Memorial Display" as a public display to view when visiting the Legion Post. The collection contains about 10,000 artifacts dating from the American Revolution thru all of our military conflicts. Highlights of the collection include 25 mannequins, over 200 uniforms dating from the French and Indian Wars to our latest military operations, artifacts from the Navy's most famous ship, the USS Constitution, pieces of the USS Arizona, a code talker's radio, to mention just a few.
