Navy, 5 Years
Served aboard the destroyer tender USS Acadia AD-42, home-ported in San Diego CA. as a Machinery Repairman (machinist). Props to my metals teacher Mr. Adam for teaching me the skills I would use in the Navy.
Served three West-Pac tours while on the Acadia, the last one deployed in the Persain Gulf (90-91) for the first Gulf War.

Steven B Lawlor

Col. Steven B. Lawlor is the commander of the 354th Maintenance Group, 354th Fighter Wing, Eielson AFB, Alaska. The 354th Maintenance Group provides aircraft and munitions maintenance support to the 354th Fighter Wing's F-16 aggressor aircraft as well RED FLAG-Alaska, transient and special mission aircraft operating at Eielson AFB. Aircraft maintenance in Alaskan temperatures ranging from 90 degrees in the summer to -60 degrees in the winter can be demanding but no matter what conditions prevail in this beautiful land of extremes the men and women of the maintenance group "keep 'em flying."
Colonel Lawlor enlisted in the Air Force in 1978. He was commissioned in 1986 following graduation from the United States Air Force Academy. He has served in a variety of specialties in numerous major commands, has completed multiple joint tours and has commanded two squadrons. Prior to his current assignment, Col Lawlor was the Deputy Group Commander, 48th Maintenance Group, RAF Lakenheath, UK. Colonel Lawlor is a June 2008 graduate of Naval War College.
