william evans
Class of 1976
On three occasions, Bill has saved lives using his training from the Maricopa county sheriffs department deputy sheriff program. On one occasion, a boy fell into the gulf off a jetty and was drowning, bill jumped in and pulled him out of a rip tide. On another day, bill saved the life of a choking victim. The huge man was turning blue and as bill ran over to him he was grabbing his throat. Bill quickly used the Heimlech maneuver after asking for permission. The man threw up his food thus saving his life. On another occasion, while securing a hotel in downtown Houston, bill broke up a crowd of drunk men who were trying to break in and rob the place and get to a woman who was a dancer in a nearby establishment. All nine men were directed not to come past his line or else suffer the fate of the harris county sheriffs department and the police. A homeless man who was outside was harassed and fell faint, bill quickly used cpr and brought him back for the paramedics to take over.
