About Me	Went to USC where I was an Opera Major. Made 2 TV commercials, 4 radio commercials. Moved to New York in 1976 to continue singing career and made mhy debut at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall in 1979. I have been married to Metropolitan Opera Conductor Richard Woitach for 38 years. I managed an antiquarian bookshop when I wasn't away from the City singing before starting my own book business in 1989. Opera career took me all over the USA and to Europe. Sang for noted conductors, besides my husband, such as M. Rostropovich & James Levine in NY, Washington, DC & Rome, Italy. My performance as Violetta in Verdi's "La Traviata" in Seattle was broadcast over NPR in 1981; I appeared on Italian TV while singing in Rome. Retired from singing about 20 years ago, having begun my book business selling collectible children's and illustrated books that has been featured in The New York Times, The New York Observer and Martha Stewart Living Magazine. I have been mentioned in Robertson Davies' posthumously published journal having spent time answering his questions about opera production for his book "The Lyre of Orpheus" and have bee...(read more)
