| About Me | Lived in Europe for over 6 years. Witnessed the Berlin Wall coming down, was in Europe during the Gulf war, Was in Europe when Chernobyl blew. Traveled to France. Went and saw a lot of beautiful cathedrals and castles, vineyards, and learned about the many cultures of both the duetsch, Iranian, Irish, British, Scottish and Checzelovochian people. I was in the arm and was a truck drive, I was stationed at Ft. Campbell, Ky and this was on the Tn border as well, I love both states and really had planned on retiring there, but we ended back in Oklahoma for my spouses retirement from the army. In Europe I also drove the largest truck made in the U.S. Army, there is not a truck I am not licensed for in the U.S. Army, even as a civilian. I also was certified acct tech, and worked as an acct tech, I was in nursing school before going to Germany but was not able to finish, so I volunteer at the Dispensary and worked at the OB-GYN clinic. I also decorated cakes for a living and made so many, I really got burnt out on it, so I quit doing that for awhile. I went to college in Europe for awhile. I took my english in Europe and had a 4.0 GPA when I left there. We lived in Geronimo, OK after I received my nursing license and I went to work at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, OK, and I loved my job. I worked on a Med/Surg floor, which meant, we had everything. Not just one type of patient, but everything you could imagine. It was never boring, and I learned so much, so fast and I enjoyed every minute of it. I took a job in Florida at a Small Hospital in Zephyrhills,Fl which is the Geriatric Capital of East Pasco. I hated it. I never got so tired of bed pans and bed alarms in my whole life. But I moved on and worked Workers Comp Case Management, Catastrophic Case Managment, Dr. Offices. Medicare Step Down Units, ALF's, SNF's, ICU's, I have worked just about everywhere and loved every minute of it because of the diversity of patients and the diversity of diseases or problems and the learning and patient care that came with each one.
