Parris Island graduate in 1956. USAF 1958 on. (Didn't want to but it was Monday USMC only showed up Fridays, broke no VA, no job prospects, no unemployment went to Army recruiter said (with disdain) come back tomorrow, came back Army recruiter not there and USAF recruiter said "Why would you want to join the Army?" Quite possibly saved my life as Vietnam was around the corner.

Our Turners Falls High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Turners Falls High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Montague are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
