John Hall

Class of 1965

John is a nationally known author with a variety of literary.accomplishments. In 2004, he was a contributor for the "Wake Up...Live The Life You Love" series along with many internationally known authors, i.e. Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopr and Mark Vistor Hansen.

John is best known in the educational arena as a guest author and speaker to motivate young writers .John provides visits and interactive workshops for children throughout the US. His vaulable contributions to children's literature is enjoyed by children, parents , librarians, reading specialists, and teachers.

His Red Rocket Booksworks has provided delightful children's books such as "Mickey McGuffin's Ear".

In 2009, "How to Get a Gorilla Out of Your Bathtub". written by John and illustrated by Stephen Gilpin, was honored with the Kansas Reading Association's Bill Martin, Jr Picture Book Award.. The KRA is an affiliate with the International Reading Association organization to promote in children an appreciation of good literature.

John is an inspiration and a role model who deserves to be honored on Turner High School's Wall of Fame
