| About Me | *I participated in a 6 year project with NASA to involve intermediate elementary school age students in innovative science discoveries through Aerospace and Aviation experiments and activities. *I worked with a coworker in developing a first in the US mock-up of the Shuttle Launch and 24 hour uninterrupted missions. There were 3 different launches of The Conquistador I and hundreds of students at Woodville Elementary participated in this massive endeavor serving as student astronauts and crew. Our Shuttle was equipped with over $46,000 worth of technological equipment for each launch. The Conquistador I has toured the state to show teachers and students how to build and equip a mock-up shuttle. All of this work was the result of the Christa McAuliffe Fellowship awarded to a friend of mine who allowed me to work with her in bringing teachers on board to introduce the study of Aerospace and Aviation into the classroom.
