Mark and I became close friends after I beat him in Indian Leg Wrestling in 6th grade. I had just moved to Independence from Texas and was the first to beat him. From then on, we were great friends.
Call me one Saturday and tools me he wanted me to go with him to look at Corvettes, so I was ready when he came by.
I tried hard to talk him out of dropping out of HS to go into the Army. He said his mind was made up. I couldn't find him after that.
He was a great friend, and was taken way to early in life. I'll miss him.
