What is Josh Krajcik known for?

Josh Krajcik, a talented singer-songwriter hailing from Wooster, Ohio, is a celebrated alumni of Triway High School. Born in Wooster, Josh started his musical journey early, taking piano lessons at a young age and later picking up the guitar in junior high. He cites his father as an instrumental influence in his musical development, often jamming together on their guitars.

While attending Triway High School, Josh's passion for music continued to evolve as he joined the choir and actively supported the arts in education, specifically, the Triway Local Schools Music Boosters. His dedication to music didn't stop after graduation. Josh began performing in front of live audiences during his teenage years, even admitting to lying about his age to secure early gigs at local bars.

After high school, Josh fronted various bands and projects while continuing to perform at venues across Ohio, including Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Akron, Bowling Green, Wooster and more. However, his career took a significant turn when he formed the Josh Krajcik Band with Corey Gillen and Mitch Pinkston.

With the Josh Krajcik Band, they recorded their first record "Ghosts" in 2005, and started touring supporting other artists, leading to performances at prestigious events such as Bonnaroo in 2006. They even made appearances on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! and NPR's renowned World Cafe in 2007. The band continued to gain fans across the mid-west, working on their second record "Atavistic".

However, Josh gained real national fame when he was the runner-up on the first season of The X Factor USA in 2011, introducing his bluesy rock and soul music to a broader audience. Despite not winning, the exposure led to a recording deal with Sony Music, allowing him to continue building his career in the music industry.
