Brenda L. Gray, 66, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Wooster Community Hospital, after a short illness.
She was born Feb. 19, 1951, in Wooster to Roger E. and Miriam J. (Johnston) White and married Charles T. Gray on Oct. 31, 1971. He survives.
Brenda's passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished each and every moment spent with them, especially at Christmas, when she would decorate her home with great warmth and love. She also enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and the company of her canine companions.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are daughters, Julie Gray of Oregon and Jara (Brandon) Thomas of Wooster; grandchildren, Yenny Gray and Riley Thomas; and a sister, Debra Edington of Shreve.
Her parents preceded her in death.
A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Brenda's life will be Sunday, April 30 from 2-4 p.m. at Wooster Country Club. Private family interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions in Brenda's honor be made to Wayne County Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Road, Wooster 44691.
