About Me	I would sleep tonight. The first night in one hundred years I would be able to sleep. This time, dark would be comforting. A warm blanket of night would spread across the sky and my heart would start beating again. The willows came to life, and hummed sweet songs in the warm breeze. The caterpillars floated in the sky as butterflies. My chest felt warm and the warmth spread outwards towards my flesh. My hands could feel again. When I walked I felt the wet grass sink between each toe. I was in this very moment, and my heart was not dwelling on the past nor fearing the future. I loved every millisecond as my body slowly healed. I collapsed into the wet grass. I felt each blade caress my skin. I rolled on my back and started laughing. I laughed for what felt like hours, until my laughs turned to sobs. When my sobbing subsided, I slowly drew my fingertips across my arms. So slowly and gently I felt my smooth, soft skin. It tickled and gave me chills. My hair stood on end as I brought my hand to my chest. I felt my heart beat so powerfully. The empty, cold rock was replaced with a beating, powerful instrument. I paused and focused, keying my senses to the beating thump in my chest. I could hear the organ bursting with life; the rhythm was so fluid and magnificent. I slowly rolled up, feeling every vertebra in my spine click with young enthusiasm. My breathing slowed as my eyelids sank shut. I was asleep but still aware.
