Craig Robert Benson
Class of 1964
Army, 20+ Years
Entered Army during college in 1966 (ROTC). Commissioned 1968. Went on Active Duty 1971.
Served in Army Reserve through 1996. Taught at Army Transportation School, Fort Eustis, VA. for ten years, and at Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KA. for three. Retired from Maryland State Highway Administration and Army Corps of Engineers. In seventeenth year with US Coast Guard Auxiliary and will start sixteenth season with Orioles Baseball Club Event Staff in March. Daughter Elizabeth has a Veterinary Hospital in Southern California. Wife Christina retired as a RN - we look forward to help plan the next class reunion.

Navy, 20+ Years
Enlisted into the USN in 1980. Was a surface supplied USN diver until 1990. Graduated Navy EOD training in 1991 and served at various commands and Special Warfare. Participated in the Gulf War, and Iraq and Afghanistan wars. I retired in 2005 and started working again in the government.

William M. Routson lll

Army, 3 Years
Joined the Army on October 12th 1964. Took Basic and Advanced Infantry Training at Fort Jackson. Completed Jump School in March 1965 and was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division. Deployed to Viet Nam in June of 1965 and returned in June of 1966. Earned the Army Commendation Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge and Viet Nam Service Medals. Attained the rank of Sergeant. Enjoyed my Army experience and the benefits of the G I Bill that helped me attain my A A and B S degrees. Received my M A from Towson Univ. in 1993. Joined the Baltimore County Fire Department in May 1969 and retired as a Captain in October of 2000. Worked as a Housing Inspector for DHMH for 4 years and the State Fire Marshals and Health Department for 11 years as a Health Care inspector. My wife Denise and I lived in McDaniel MD and have a cabin in Merna Wyoming. I have two sons; Joe and Dan. Dan is a Fire Specialist in the Baltimore County Fire Department, and his wife Kim is an EMT. They have a son Tyler and daughter Brooke. Joe is single and has a lawn business.
