About	US NAVY 1964 - 1967 Tom held several positions in the financial sector after serving in the Navy until completion of his Masters degree after which he spent his most rewarding years as an Addition & Substance Abuse Counselor in Kansas City. Tom is survived by his wife: Joyce; Children: Jodi (Mike) Blackburn; Heather (Kevin) Anderton Stepchildren: Tammy Spillman; Kimberly (Ron) Elliot; Shaun (Malians) Spillman 13 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren Tom enjoyed playing golf & watching football. He loved traveling with his older grandchildren in recent years. He also had a great love for animals, especially his dogs who he & Joyce referred to as “the boys”.

Sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Tom and I were great friends in High School. I was a year ahead at Tonganoxie High. After high school I served four years in the US Navy (1963 - 1967.) and it was a great experience and helped to prepare for life afterwards.
