His story was very sad, his entire family wiped out by a communist regime in Cambodia. He barely escaped with his life and made it to America. I didn’t know until recently that his life here in Toms River wasn’t very happy either. He once performed at an assembly at East Dover Elementary School, he played guitar and sang the song Dust In The Wind. I was impressed at how well he did and was also very moved by his performance knowing what he had been through up to that point in his life. To this day, nearly fifty years later, I think about Chris/Saravuth every time I hear that song.
