Christopher R Lynch Jr
Class of 1997
Air Force, 15 Years
Christopher has served in in the U.S. Air Force since 1997. He recently completed a tour at Kandahar AB, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. While in Afghanistan he was assigned to the 702d EAS in support of the 101st Airborne Division. Currently, he is assigned to the 179th Air Lift Wing, Mansfield, OH where he works in Cyber Ops.

I WAS A GRADUATE OF THE NAVY OCS AT NEWPORT RHODE ISLAND, GRADUATING FEBURARY 1960. I FLEW IN FROM CARRIERS IN A AD-5Q AS A NAVY FLIGHT OFFICER AND OPERATED ELECTRONIC WARFARE EQUIPMENT (RECEIVERS AND NOISE JAMMERS). I WAS ON THE USS INDEPENDENCE (CVA-62) DURING THE CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS. AFTER MY SQUADRON ASSIGNMENT I SPENT 3 YEARS TESTING AIRCRAFT AND NEWLY INSTALLED EQUIPMENT. I FLEW ON OVER 6 AIRCRAFT TYPES AND WAS A PROJECT OFFICER ON NUMEROUS PROJECTS.

Timothy Kendrick

Army, 20+ Years
Timothy Kendrick is a retired Army Veteran who served in Panama, Somalia, Operation Iraqi Freedom and various other wonderful places in the world, Korea and Germany just to name a few. He began as a military policeman with the 61st MP Company in the early 80’s, switched to Combat Medic and then to Broadcast Journalism in the 90’s when he was featured in Time Magazine (and several other media outlets) for his work in Somalia in 1993. His last Duty was in Iraq with the Department of Defense. He speaks five languages and currently lives in Tampa Florida. Timothy (or Ty, as his army buddies know him) has travelled the globe five and one-half times and has dealt with his own PTSD. His motto is “It doesn’t get any easier later, it just gets later.”

Our Tippecanoe High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
