About	Dr. Craig Stephen Schauder Dr. Schauder, age 49, of Huntersville, passed away January 19th, 2010 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Craig was born December 21, 1960 in Redford, Michigan to Stewart and Jody Schauder of Plymouth, Michigan. Craig received his BA in chemistry from Albion College, Michigan in 1983. In 1987 he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan medical school. He moved to Houston, Texas to complete his dermatology residency in 1991. Craig and his wife, Dr. Nancy Astle, moved to the Lake Norman area in 1994 to start their dermatology practice, and worked together at Lakeside Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology Center, PA in Cornelius for 15 years. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife and two daughters, Stephanie and Caroline, one brother, Dr. Keith Schauder and wife Denise and their children of Houston, Texas, and one sister, Mrs. Lori Marshall and husband Dave and their children of Akron, Ohio. Stephanie and Caroline were blessed to have such a wonderful, caring and involved father. The outpouring of love, support and prayers from innumerable friends, patients, his church and community is a testament to the positive impact Craig had on those he knew. He was an avid fisherman who loved to mountain bike, hike and camp with his family. He will forever be in our hearts. The family of Dr. Craig Schauder would like to thank everyone for their love and support during his illness but in particular Ty Burns and John Hurley who together helped Craig walk this difficult journey.
