John worked for 7-UP in Redford Township as a line mechanic from his Thurston graduation to the early 1980's. He then moved with his childhood friend, another Thurston graduate, Rich Grant, to Phoenix, AZ, where they started a fiberglass molding business. John moved back to Redford Township in the early 2000's. He was a talented musician who loved fishing, gardening and was a lifetime fan of the Detroit Tigers. John passed away suddenly, and was survived by his mother, two brothers and a sister.
