| About Me | I have been a Registered Nurse for 20 years. Very few people thought that I had the aptitude to become a Registered Nurse. I studied accounting at Purdue University prior to attending nursing school. Hated it. I find the nursing profession to be both rewarding and stressful, and I am good at it. I have owned several businesses some successful and some not so successful. I would eventually like to teach nursing and practice law. I am the mother of 5 children. I am the executive director of the Gilead Foundation, an organization that I founded in 2004 to address the need of people who are affected by disease that are disproportionately represented in low-income urban areas.
