At age 22, U.S. Navy Petty Officer Warren Hogue, was one of 27 people missing and presumed dead in collision of two submarine-hunting airplanes. The planes collided in stromy weather over the Pacific Ocean off the Baja California coast of Mexico, about 60 miles south of South Diego.
Warren Hogue was a member of the wrestling team at TTHS. He immediately enlisted in the Navy upon graduation.
