Beloved husband of Carol Thor; cherished father of Rodney Yusko (Carolyn Roy) and Jamie Yusko; devoted son of the late Seymour and Shirley (Josephson) Yuskowitz; dear brother of Marcia (Donald) Irvin; fond uncle of Sara (Bodin) Suttles; loving nephew of Norton and the late Barbara Josephson and the late Lillian and the late Jerome Solomon; former husband of the late Nellie Yusko, nee Harper . Graveside funeral Thursday February 12th at 2pm at Waldheim Jewish Cemetery, gate 275, 1700 S. Harlem Ave, North Riverside. Jay was the VP of Technology Research at IRI. His main area of research is in the area of data quality, product information management and classification of Consumer Package Goods product information. He has a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Illinois, MS in Computer Science from DePaul University and PhD in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology. He has worked in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems since the early 80s. Jay has served on the IBM InfoSphere Customer Advisory Board, the IBM Smarter Process Customer Advisory Council, the QualityStage Technical Advisory Board and the QualityStage Customer Design Review Board. Jay has been an IBM Champion in the area of the IBM InfoSphere product line for the last 5 years. He holds 4 patents and has 15 more pending.
