About Me | My motto: There's nothing in life that a little chocolate and a little shrimp can't fix! (To be eaten separately...) I am very happily married to Mike Apt. He is the most wonderful man that God ever put on this planet! We get along like two peas in a pod, and I know that God has wonderful plans for us and for our family. I'm Mom to Melissa Robichaud, who is my daughter from my 1st marriage. She lives in Marietta, but I still don't get to see her near as much as I'd like to. I also have Mike's kids, Josh and his wife Nikki, Caleb and Ridi to call my own. I am Momma Lynn to them. Josh and Nikki live in the Nashville, TN area, Ridi lives in Florida with her mom and Caleb lives with Mike and I. I wish Josh, Nikki and Ridi lived closer so I could spend more time with them all! I am truly blessed by having such wonderful kids and so much love in one family! They all bring so much happiness to my heart! Mike and I moved into a house in Woodstock, GA, on 7/24/11, which was our first Wedding Anniversary! It's nice to be in a place of our own. It is a peaceful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of life. Actually, our backyard backs up to the backyard of a house that is just behind the the biggest church in town. I love being that close to our church, The First Baptist Church of Woodstock! As for my career choice, I was a hairdresser for around 15 years, but got out of that business over 14 years ago. I often miss the salon life though and "secretly" wish I could own a salon. However, I've been working in an office for the last 14 years. One of these days I'll find a way to find the time to go to college, even if it's just on a part-time basis. I have a lot of interests, and I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up! The addiction counseling field really interests me, so we'll see what happens. In the meantime, Mike really wants to start his own home based business some day, so I may find a way to do something on the side at home eventually as well. I'd still like to figure out how to do online sales (maybe beauty supplies) through Ebay or wherever I could do it successfully. My faith in Jesus Christ has kept me grounded through all the trying and troubled times in my life. There've been so many times my faith has been tested that I don't care to count them. Thankfully, through it all, even though I might not have always lived a life that was pleasing to the Lord, He loved me anyway. That's what always kept me going. In the end, that is what saved me, literally... Christ's love and sacrifice upon the cross saved me from an eternity in Hell, apart from God. Christ's love saved me from giving up on myself, and saved me from giving up on life. When I finally realized I had to stop living life my own way, and do it His way, that's when my whole life turned around for the better. I still fail miserably (as do we all) at times, but I try to remember who I'm supposed to l...(read more) |
