Leroy Ellis Class of 58, St. Johns U. (62). He was the Center on the 1957-58 Orange Wave Basketball team. Leroy played professionally for the Baltimore Bullets and the Los Angles Lakers of the NBA. He passed away two months ago (May 2012) of prostrate cancer. A Memorial Service was held for him at the BBC about a month ago (June 2012). To the newbies, the BBC is now known as the Brownsville Recreation Center.
