Favorite School Memory	My high school students always enjoyed stories of when I was their age. We sometimes talked about dress codes. I would tell them how the girls could not wear slacks or jeans no matter what the weather was. I would tell them about one vivid memory when the weather outside must have been 0 degrees, the school heater was broken, and the building was absolutely freezing! Some of the girls in our class were daring enough to wear pants on one very snowy, FREEZING day. Our principal, Mr. Roberts came to all of the classrooms searching for anyone who defied his authority. It was quite dramatic, what with girls being sent to the office to call home for a skirt to be brought up to the school. We had school no matter how deep the snow or how cold the building.
