About Mark Joseph Bachner, 61, of Apache Junction, Arizona, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Mark was the beloved father of Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Sellers, Mark Jr. (Justine) Bachner, Emily (Kenneth) Palamara, and Victoria (Donald) Voland. He was a cherished grandfather to eight grandchildren: Matilda Sellers; McKinley and Mark III Bachner; Henry and Elowen Palamara; and Grace, Zoey, and Violet Voland.

He is also survived by his siblings, George (Joan), Donna, John (Valerie), and Peter Bachner, as well as Tracy Bachner, the mother of his children. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Bachner, and his sister-in-law, Angela Bachner.

Mark was born in Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, on January 5, 1965, to George and Margaret Bachner. He graduated from Penn State in 1987 with a degree in industrial engineering and later earned his master's degree in business in 2006. His career spanned many areas of industrial manufacturing and took him across several countries, as he was always seeking the next challenge. He found great purpose in solving complex problems through his leadership and experience.

Outside of work, Mark enjoyed many hobbies, including photography, traveling, working on cars, 3D printing, and model trains. He also had a lifelong fascination with history and space exploration. He especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Mark was a devoted father and a proud grandfather, lovingly known as "Pappy" to his grandchildren. He adored his grandkids and loved spending time playing with them, always finding joy in making them smile and often surprising them with thoughtful gifts. As a father, he created many cherished memories with his children, from movie nights together to road trips traveling across the United States. His love for his family was at the center of his life.

Mark was known for his vibrant personality, he was always the life of the party. Whether cheering on Penn State football or the Steelers, celebrating at weddings and gatherings, or hosting his beloved Christmas Vacation-themed party, he brought laughter and energy wherever he went.

The memories he created with his children, grandchildren, family, and friends will be cherished for generations.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Sunday, March 22, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
