About	Melody Earls Sowa On October 20, 20240 Comments Melody Earls Sowa, 72, of Brentwood, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly of natural causes on October 17, 2024. Born on February 6, 1952, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Melody was the daughter of Eleanor Pekich Earls. Mel had a passion for music, particularly the Beatles – attending her first concert as a teen and many Paul McCartney concerts since. She was well traveled, and enjoyed bringing her family together for annual gatherings when possible. Gardening was her passion and she nurtured her plants, her dog (Lulu) and her loved ones with care. With over 30 years of experience in training and development, Mel dedicated her career to helping others succeed. After earning her degree in Organizational Development, she rose from General Manager at Long John Silver’s to Vice President of Training at Hardee’s because of her strong work ethic. Her unwavering commitment to her employees made her a cherished mentor and a source of inspiration. She was an avid Steelers and Buccos fan. Mel was a devout member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed being involved in her church community. She embodied the values of love and acceptance, reflecting her deep faith in every aspect of her life. In addition to her professional and community contributions, Mel was a dedicated caregiver. For years, she lovingly cared for her beloved mother until her passing, providing unwavering support and companionship. She also devoted herself tirelessly to her sister, Deb, ensuring she always felt loved and supported. She is survived by her two daughters, Robynn Wolfe of Lexington, and Lauri Solla (Matt) of Raleigh; her son, Nathan Sowa (Shawnie) of Phoenix; her granddaughter, Natalie Solla of Charlotte; her grandsons, Jason Wolfe of Louisville, and Landon, Cash, and Deegan Sowa of Phoenix. She had a close bond with nephew Christian Earls (Sami) and their kids Ella and Julian of Pittsburgh. Melody is also survived by her sister, Debby Earls of Pittsburgh, and her brother, Bill Earls(Sonia) of Naples, FL. She had 3 nephews as well as great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Earls, and the father of her children, Jerry Sowa. No public services will be held.
