About | Sandra "Sandy" Fuccaro Obituary Sandra “Sandy” Claire Fuccaro, 73, of Surfside Beach, SC, formerly of Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, PA, died on Friday, December 1, 2023. She was born on April 23, 1950, in McKeesport, PA, Virgil D. and Helen (DiClemente) DeAngelis. Sandy loved her family and her friends very much and enjoyed talking and visiting with them daily. She looked most forward to her weekly phone calls with her Aunt Arlene, when they would reminisce, share recipes, and catch up on family events. Sandy never missed an opportunity to tell everyone and anyone about her grandchildren and most recently her great niece and nephew. Sandy moved to Surfside in 2012 with her husband, to be closer to her son and his family, after retiring from the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh where she worked as an administrative assistant and student scheduling coordinator. Prior to working with the Vet Tech Institute, she worked as a medical biller and medical billing supervisor at several different Pittsburgh area hospitals. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Ronald V. Fuccaro, and her father Virgil D. DeAngelis. Survivors include her son Wayne (Karie) Fussaro, and three grandchildren, Jacob, Nicholas, and Elizabeth Fussaro all of Surfside Beach, her Mother, Helen DeAngelis ( Jefferson Hills, Pittsburgh, PA) and 2 brothers Barry (Carol) DeAngelis ( Pleasant Hill, Pittsburgh, PA) , and Bryan (Doreen) DeAngelis (South Park, PA), Nephews Matthew (Chelsea) DeAngelis (Mt Lebonon, Pittsburgh, PA), and Michael (Erin) DeAngelis (Minneapolis, MN), Nieces, Stephanie DeAngelis (Raleigh, NC) and Jessica (Tyler) DeAngelis (Orlando FL), a great niece and nephew Helen and Jude DeAngelis, 3 Aunts and many loving cousins. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later time in Pittsburgh at a later date. We would like to give a special thanks to Christian, Dawn, and Graysen Gaylor for being more like family than neighbors to Sandy, willing to help her with any task and visiting with her. We would also like to thank SC House Calls, Horry County EMS and the Staff at Waccamaw Hospital. Burroughs Funeral Home (843-651-1440) of Murrells Inlet is assisting the family.
