I miss my brother every day; I am deeply saddened by his passing. He was always helpful to me in every way. Never a day went by when he didn't generate some interesting game or activity. He was very proud of my talent and accomplishments and didn't want me to be some "ordinary" girl, depending on others. When I turned 16, he sat down with me and told me that he didn't want me to be some "ordinary" girl who couldn't drive a car with a manual transmission! He taught me how to drive my parent's volkswagen bug and I passed my drivers' test in a matter of 2 weeks after he began teaching me. The first weekend I passed my drivers' test, I drove downtown Pittsburgh to the Fulton building to take Piano lessons with Carmon Rummo; I continued being independent and drrove myself to all of the Piano, Flute, and Dancing lessons. It gave me a lot of freedom and confidence. He introduced so many new ideas and facts to me; Always interesting...who would think of gifting his musical sister copies of the US patents for the Steinway Piano and the Boehm Flute, framed in the exact walnut wood decorating my music and living room for my Birthday? Loving sister, Pamela
