Margaret (Margo) Johnson (Liebrenz)
Class of 1957
1st she was selected as 4th of July Parade Marshal when, Honoring Volunteers was the parade theme, then this year, the Women of Wisdom Award was given to her along with four other Bonner County residents.
Sandpoint, Idaho Mayor, Marsha Ogilvie started this event Women Honoring Women in 1999.
Each year a women is nominated by letters of recomendation from several friends and business leaders highlighting her contribution to the town and volunteer work. There were two special luncheons honoring these individuals and newspapers articles and pictures are printed. Margo, as she is known recieved eight nominations for her volunteer work at local hospital and fund raising events for Special Olympics and Hospice. She was also recognised for her contribution to her neighborhood, writing a newsletter to keep neighbors informed each month. This newsletter goes out to over 30 residents.
