Paul Edward Goldschmidt, born on September 10, 1987 in Wilmington, Delaware, is a proudly acclaimed American professional baseball player known for his impressive MLB career. Goldschmidt not only demonstrated his batting skills in the Major League Baseball landscape, but also proudly represented the United States in international competitions.

Goldschmidt, a lightly recruited player from The Woodlands High School, Texas, started his journey in professional baseball when he was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the eighth round of the 2009 MLB draft.
