What is Jack Ingram known for?

Jack Owen Ingram, an American country music artist, was born on November 15, 1970, in Houston, Texas. He's a proud alumnus of The Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, Texas. Ingram has had a long and illustrious music career, which began in 1992. He's been signed to several labels, including Rhythmic, Rising Tide, Lucky Dog, Columbia, Big Machine, and Blaster.

Ingram got his first taste of the U.S. Country Top 40 in 2005 with the release of his single "Wherever You Are." This was his first release for Big Machine and the label's first Number One hit. Alongside this, Ingram has sent six other songs into the country Top 40 including "Love You," "Lips of an Angel," "Measure of a Man," "Maybe She'll Get Lonely," "That's a Man," and "Barefoot and Crazy."

Originally from Houston, Ingram started writing songs and performing while studying psychology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He got his start as a singer in a privately owned bar near the TCU campus of Fort Worth, Texas. He also opened for Mark Chesnutt and other acts during the early 1990s. Ingram's active music career has seen him release eleven studio albums, one extended play, six live albums, and 19 singles.

Ingram's musical journey began with his self-titled album in 1995. Since then, he's seen significant success, with hits such as "Flutter," "How Many Days," and "Wherever You Are," and numerous album releases, including his second album for Lucky Dog, and Electric, which entered the Top Country Albums chart.

Ingram continued to shape his music career with collaborations with Charlie Robison and Bruce Robison for the live album Unleashed Live. Furthermore, he gained even more recognition when he featured in the 'Texas Myths' Super Bowl commercial in 2013.
