What is Bronson Burgoon known for?

Bronson Burgoon, born June 2, 1987, in The Woodlands, Texas, is a proud alumnus of The Woodlands High School, where he exhibited prominent golfing skills by becoming the individual state champion in 2003. Burgoon continued to play golf at Texas A&M University, where he had a successful college career, culminating in defeating Andrew Landry to secure the 2009 NCAA Championship for the Aggies. He was later inducted into the Texas A&M Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018.

Turning professional in 2010, Burgoon started his pro career on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica, post which he graduated to the Web.com Tour for the 2014 season. In his rookie PGA Tour season, he finished 132nd in the FedEx Cup standings, retaining his conditional status for 2017. An injury briefly paused his career between September 2016 and July 2017, but he made a strong comeback, earning full status for the 2018 season.

During his career, he managed to secure two professional wins on the Adams Pro Tour, at the 2012 Firewheel at Garland Classic, and the Twin Lakes Open. His other notable performances include runner-up finishes at the 2018 John Deere Classic and the CIMB Classic.

In major championships, his best performance came in 2019 PGA Championship, where he tied for 48th place. Though he had less luck in U.S. Open and The Open Championship, where he couldn't make the cut.
