I was so sad to hear of the passing of my dearest long time friend Linda.My first love as a teenager and they say your first love you don’t forget .it is so true. First girl I ever gave a diamond too. It was only sadly a watch.I could never forget her.She was o so very lovely inside and out.I spent many happy times with her and friends and her mom and dad.We had little parties in her mom and dads house almost every night.
We have spent years talking in 1000s of emails and a few phone calls I did just to see how she was.WE talked about the hot weather she was having and hoping for the winter to show up soon. Talked about her cat and yes about her falls too.
The worst email I received from her was I have some bad news Ted. I have 4th stage throat cancer.The good news they say it’s beatable. I was hoping that for her but I did not believe it.I had not heard from her for a few days then her son William told me she had passed away.I am so sorry for her family and so shocked and sadden to hear this news.
Linda in my eyes has never changed. I will always remember her as that 18 year old sweet heart of a girl. She was my time machine back to 1965 / 1966
I don’t have the words to express what a wonderful young girl I use to know and mother and grandmother she was.
My deepest sympathy to all her family. I know she will be so very missed by all the family and friends in Louisiana. I will always treasure her and never forget her.Its just so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
